Carlo Passamonti was born in Nuoro, Sardinia in 1973. As a youth, Passamonti began to appreciate different sounds, living through the advent of the new acid house wave. He attended some of the best parties in Sardinia, each time feeling the passion for experimental and electronic music as if it was the first time. At the age of 20, he moved with his family to Rome, the eternal city. Motivated by his own curiosity, he there delved into the study of music, artist's labels, styles and genres, all of which led him to achieve a bona fide understanding of music. After writing for many sites specializing in music review, including the famous "clubbity.com", Passamonti finally reached a turning point in 2004 when he took his first steps towards composing music. His sound has a clear link to ambient music, click house, deep house, deep and experimental techno, with jazz influences. Feeling more inspired every time he spins at dance clubs, Passamonti eventually became well-known in Rome. He has worked for a long time as the resident DJ at Nazca, a historical and acclaimed bar-lounge famous as a pioneer in electronic music. He has also made appearances in the Bar room of Brancaleone, Linux, Fake Club, Carrots Cafe, Atelier 35, Neo Club for D-Side and Galleria dei Serpenti. Seeking new challenges, in March and April 2008, he went to London to spin, appearing at the famous Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane, and at Cosmo Bar. Passamonti is currently involved in the production of his music, and has received feedback from DJs, producers and label managers such as Morris Audio. On 22 September 2008, he released his first digital EP on Attic Records Music, which is available on beatport On 27 May, his first vinyl EP, titled "the Tanaz ep," was released. Stay tuned for the release of a brand new EP in mid-June, to be available in digital format through Intermission ltd, Miami.
