[Cyclo Sound] present: Dial Tone by Jemb
Cyclo Sound is a musical project tied strictly to electronic music at variable speeds.
The name originates Cyclo Sound and inspiration from the Loop.
In music, a loop is a sample. Loop is a sampling of a sound recorded and repeated , through the use of specific tapes , sound effects or software provided.
"Cyclo Music"
Cyclo Sound moves in this direction and is placed in a context of pure music research and sound. Noise as Muisc and Music as Noise.
In this definition Cyclo Sound collects the best of contemporary electronic music. In this dimension, the music moves and funds through a variety of styles, from Jazz to Pop, from minimalism to ther post-rock, from noise to silence, the melody to sound experimentation.

Sei nato in Sicilia, vivi in Sicilia, ma la tua prima produzione è per una label tedesca, la Autist Records, e oggi il progetto T-Bahn Records a Berlino….
Insomma la solita storia, bisogna lavorare al di là delle Alpi per avere visibilità…

Le prime produzioni sulla label tedesca Autist Records hanno sicuramente permesso a me e Jitzu di farci conoscere e apprezzare principalmente fuori dall'Italia, ma da allora ad oggi parecchie cose sono cambiate nella nostra visione musicale contemporanea, e ciò si esprime principalmente attraverso la nostra label, T-Bahn Records.
Emergere musicalmente in Italia è molto difficile. Per chi gestisce i club tutto ciò che viene dall'estero è più cool, e tolte alcune rare eccezioni, una label estera o un artista straniero tirano molto di più di uno italiano;
in questo siamo molto più esterofili di quanto lo siano in altre nazioni.
Oltre a questo, c'è molto clientelismo e molta confusione, le giovani leve hanno spesso la strada sbarrata (anche le più brave), spesso sono condizionate dal portare gente nei locali se vogliono salire in consolle,se non producono non vengono nemmeno considerati, e molti ragazzi anche parecchio bravi se non sono amici del club manager o dell'AD di turno restano tagliati fuori, ma queste sono distorsioni del sistema che spero rimangano episodi isolati.
Se pensiamo a quali sono gli artisti italiani che si sono affermati come ottimi dj producer internazionali, sono tutti artisti che negli anni passati hanno lasciato l'Italia stabilendosi all'estero, cosa che gli ha permesso di crescere e affermarsi musicalmente, e che oggi in Italia ci tornano solo per suonare nei club da protagonisti.

Void aka Gigi Galli @ T_Mood #016 [17.11.2011]
Void aka Gigi Galli debut on his Dj career when he was 13, in 1991 on a local radio station. When he was 16 he become resident Dj at Giona club in Fondi (LT) sharing the console with turntable prophets as Mike Dunn and Lory D. In the next years gigi focused on exploring the infinite fields of electronic music finding is own sound in the techno district. In the end of the '90 after some travels on several european cities he come in contact with the rave cultural moviment and decided to move to Rome, becoming part of the roman industrial-experimental-electronic music scene collaborating with Anna Bolena (dj, producer and founder of cult record label Idroscalo Records) organizing party and events. In the 2003 with a couple of friends he promoted rave culture in Latina's province with the organization of Transhumanz festival, a crossover party of two days with rock bands and djs. Later he joins C.A.GA. (Cineteca Atomica GArigliano) a collective that organize 360° cultural events voted to a real experimentation attitude and also Brigadisco, an indie record label born in the 2009 and immediately become active and important trought the whole italian indie music circuit.
Music without barriers , that' s the way that Gigi Galli plays it dosen' t matter if the location is a small club or a huge warehouse he' s always intrested on create the good empaty with the audience. Actually Gigi is working on a couple of new releases and also playing his music live with some really good friends as Kill Ref (performing as a napalm blast duo called Kill-Traxx) or Daniele Cavaliere and also Anna Bolena, she lives in berlin now and Gigi often plays at kreuzberg sauerkraut filled parties as "Homopatik" and "Attenzione Alla Puttana Santa".
